Shirley Elaine Guess (nee Myers) 88 of Grafton passed away Friday March 14,2014 at University Hospitals of Elyria. She was born May 27 , 1925 in East Chicago. Indiana. She was a 1944 graduate of Hammond Tech. Vocational School in Hammond, Indiana. Shirley lived in Munster, Indiana most of her adult life and worked as a seamstress. She was a member of Eastern Star and Westminster Presbyterian Church of Munster, Indiana. Her interests were sewing , Knitting , and desserts of all kinds. Shirley is survived by her daughters Nyla (Gary) Knight of Salt Lake City , Utah , Dawn (Scott) McCready of Grafton , grandchildren Kelly McCready of Manhattan Beach, California , Alison (Andrew) Irish of Elyria, great-granddaughter Mackenzie Irish , sisters Wanda Templeton of Canon City, Colorado , and Arlene Crowell of Defuniak Springs , Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Robert Nyle Guess and her parents Milo and Corinne ( nee Bresee). Memorial and Burial at a later date in Indiana .
