Shirley Ann Turner (nee: Grant), 89, of Elyria, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. She was born in Gardiner, Maine on May 20, 1935 to parents Earle and Evelyn (nee: Scott). Shirley spent her life caring for her family as a proud homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, The Green Bay Packers, her white cats, and sailing with her husband. Shirley is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald; sons, Scott, Grant (Cathy), grandchildren, Sara (Josh) Stacy, Zachary (Lori) Turner, Lauren (Paul Kimmy) Turner, Erica (Sean) White; and great-granddaughter, Eleanor. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Norman and Norwood. Family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road  (at State Route 57) in Elyria. Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley's name can be sent to the Friendship APL 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
