Shirley G. Carter, (nee-Clark), 83, of North Ridgeville passed away Friday April 16, 2021 at her home following a brief illness. She was born September 1, 1937 in Mannington, WV. And lived most of her life in North Olmsted. Shirley retired from Minnesota Fabrics in North Olmsted where she worked as an administrator for many years. She enjoyed gardening and going to garage sales. Survivors include her daughter, Shelly (Michael) Popovits; sons, Craig Carter, Kirk Carter and Scott (Tina) Carter; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gary Clark; fiance', Benny Hamm. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Varner and a brother, Ron Clark. The family will receive friends on Friday April 23, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Facial coverings and social distancing are required. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
