Sherman H. "Shermy" Fisher, 88, of LaGrange passed away Wednesday September 23, 2015 at his home following a long illness. He was born July 20, 1927 in Spring City, TN. And was a LaGrange resident for most of his life. Shermy was employed as a truck driver at the former General Industries Company in Elyria for 30 years, retiring in 1989 and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of the LaGrange Church of God, served in the United States Army during W.W. II and enjoyed golfing and traveling. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Alma (nee-Parks); daughter, Georgianna (Rick) Kehl of LaGrange; sons, David (Nancy) Fisher of Wellington and Jerry (Karen) Fisher of Amherst; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 brother. The family will receive friends Wednesday September 30, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of a Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. at the LaGrange Church of God 502 North Center St., LaGrange.
