Shaun Anthony Sinegar passed away February 2, 2023 at the age of 38. He was born July 15, 1984, in Elyria, OH. From a young age, Shaun was energetic, boisterous, and could shock anyone with his quick wit. Shaun was heavily involved in Boy Scouts growing up. He prided himself on his knowledge and development as a scout. His adoration for the outdoors helped him to hone his wilderness skills, and fueled his brave and adventurous spirit for the remainder of his life. Unlike many, Shaun did not take life at face value. He refused to accept superficiality, and was better equipped than most to accept and appreciate a deeper meaning. Shaun never wanted to stop learning about anything, and everything. Throughout his higher education, he studied history, geology, and computer science. He was also skilled in carpentry, and worked hard at whatever job was thrown his way. Survivors include his paternal grandparents; Janet and Melvin Haag, Mother (Regina), Father (Mark), younger sister Sara Reisz (husband: Joe Reisz), nieces Remy and Raya Reisz, and younger sister, Samantha. While flowers are welcome, the family asks for donations to be made to Defenders of Wildlife www.defenders.org. Family will receive friends on Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 10 AM - Noon with a memorial service immediately following at Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home Elyria. Burial will be private.
