Sharon R. Ginley, (nee-Cloyd), 62, of Elyria passed away Friday April 22, 2016 at her home following a brief illness. She was born October 9, 1953 in Elyria and was an Elyria resident for most of her life. Sharon was a 1971 graduate of North Ridgeville High School and following graduation attended Lorain County Community College where she earned a degree in radiology and eventually returned to school and earned a bachelor's degree in social work. She was passionate about her work with the elderly and developmentally disabled. She will be remembered as being stubborn and fiercely independent throughout her life. She loved cats and was a dedicated friend to many people. Sharon touched many lives and will carry a special memory of her in our hearts. Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Gall of Durango, CO.; parents, Pat and Rose Cloyd of North Ridgeville; longtime companion, Don Marshall of Elyria; niece, Melissa Vezina; great-nephew, Nathan; many loving cousins and her furry adopted cat family, Bailey, Spike, Bella and Boo. She was preceded in death by her sister, Lynne Vezina. All services will be private. Private inurnment will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
