Sharon L. Garrah, (nee-Pfitzer), 71, of LaGrange passed away Tuesday April 28, 2015 at the Ames Family Hospice in Westlake following a brief illness. She was born March 11, 1944 in Toledo and has been a LaGrange resident since 1973. Sharon was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin and formerly worked at the Elyria Savings and Trust Bank (Firstmerit). She formerly served as secretary of the Ohio Buckeyes Local Chapter of the United Airlines Retirees, and enjoyed quilting. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bernie; daughter, Kim Sulen of Avon; son, Bernard T.(Lori) Garrah Jr. of Avon Lake; grandchildren, Bennett, Macy, Mia and Hanna; sister, Ruthann (Thom) Woelfl of Perryburg, OH.. She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Ruth Pfitzer. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday May 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church 410 West Lorain St. Oberlin. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). The Rev. Fr. Robert J. Cole, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon. Memorial contributions can be made to the church.
