Sandra D. Striker (nee Radovich),82, of Elyria passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at her home. She was born April 23, 1939 in Lorain, Ohio. She was a graduate of Lorain High School 1957A, and a National Honor Society recipient. Sandra married Ronald E. Striker on June 6, 1959 at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Lorain. She worked for Fruehauf Trailer, Secretary at St. Paul UCC in Elyria, Secretary of Elyria YMCA, and retired from Alltel Telephone Company in 1998. Sandra was a Kiwanis officer, Board member for Salvation Army, Elyria YMCA, Methodist Senior Center, participated in Apple Festival Activities, St. Paul UCC Sunday school Teacher and Council member, Officer of Elyria Sales/Marketing Executives, Lorain County. YMCA Gymnastic Coach/ Judge, Women of Achievement Lorain County, and United Way Lorain County Committees. She enjoyed golf, baking, travel but especially being with family. Survivors include her husband Ronald E. Striker; daughter, Denise V. Striker ( Jeffrey Rader); son, Bryon S. Striker (Kimberly Mencin); grandchildren, Bryon S. Striker II, Amanda Striker, Rachel Mertz ( Dominic Mason), Evan Mertz and Jacqueline Pelfrey; great granddaughter Ava Striker ; brothers, Gerald Radovich (Glenda Dec.), Gregory Radovich( Mary Paas) sister, Cynthia Knowles ( Tom Stasniak); 3 nieces; 1 nephew; 2 great nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Priscilla "Pinky" Radovich (nee Yeager). Family will receive friends from 10 AM until time of service at 12 Noon Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
