Sandra L. Burnworth, (nee-Hyer), 70, of Elyria passed away Sunday at EMH Healthcare following a brief illness. She was born September 16, 1941 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Sandy worked as a Registered Nurse at EMH Healthcare for 26 years, retiring in 2002. She was a 1959 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and a 1962 graduate of the M.B. Johnson School of Nursing. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, John; daughters, Deborah Willhelm, Barbara Kushen, Dianne Skinner and Jennifer Mize, all of Elyria; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale and Larry Hyer both of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Evelyn Hyer and a brother, David Hyer. There will be no visitation.
