Salvatore Gentile, 79, of Elyria passed away Friday July 6, 2012 at his home following a brief illness. He was born April 24, 1933 in Davoli, Italy and has been a Elyria resident for 48 years, coming from Rome, Italy. Salvatore worked as a engineer at A.C.C. Automation in Akron. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Caterina (nee-Cristofaro); daughters, Eleonora (Giovanni) Gentile of Italy and Cristina (Joseph) Yersavich of Columbus, OH.; 4 grandchildren; sister, Gerry D'Agostino of Elyria; brothers, Frank and Joe Gentile both of Elyria. He was preceded in death by a sister, Filemena Montolosso and a brother, Tony Gentile. Private services were held Tuesday at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
