Sally A. Logar, 78, of Grafton passed away Sunday May 26, 2019 at Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a brief illness. She was born February 21, 1941 in Cleveland and was a Grafton resident for most of her life. Sally was employed by the Grafton Pre-School as a teacher for 17 years and was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Grafton where she served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and was active with the R.C.I.A. program. She was a 1959 Elyria Catholic High School graduate, attended Kent State University and enjoyed flower gardening and reading. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jerome "Jerry"; sons, Michael (Shelly) Logar and Mitchell Logar, and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kinter. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. in the gathering area of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church 708 Erie St., Grafton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday June 1, 2019 at our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, where friends will also be received from 10:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. The Rev. Fr. John P. Seabold, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Grafton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
