Sallie Winger

Sallie Winger (nee: Fishman) 90, of Elyria, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love of family and friendship. Sallie was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Jerrold Winger and a granddaughter; Sarah Vojtko.

She is survived by her children; Heidi Winger (Wayne Humphrey), Gregory (MaryAnn) Winger, Joseph Winger, and Hannah (Milivoj) Winger-Vojteh, and was a proud great grandmother of four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother; Sanford (Helen) Fishman.

She will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the deep care she showed to those around her. Her family was the center of her life, and she found great joy in being around her aunts, uncles, and many cousins throughout her life. She enjoyed playing MahJong with her friends and family, and being active in her Temple. She will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday October 16, 2026 at The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. Elyria, OH 44035 (440)322-4626 where the family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM. Private graveside service for the immediate family will follow.
