Ruth Shuster, 92, died Saturday Jan. 20 2018 at Novant Health Medical Center, Kernersville, NC following a short illness. Ruth was born in Oberlin, Ohio. She lived most of her life in Lorain County until 2015 when she moved to North Carolina to be with her daughter. Her hobbies include bingo and cards, making porcelain dolls, and bead work. Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (David) Kempka of Kernersville, NC; Her son, Mark of Elyria, OH; six grandchildren; David Jr. of Charlotte NC, Tamara and Christopher of Winston-Salem, NC, Mark of Fishers, Indiana, Matthew of Wellington OH and Jonathan of Columbus OH. She had eleven greatgrandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur (Bud) of 68 years. Her parents; Fred and Katherine Shepherd (nee Grundler); a sister Florence Maloney, brothers; Ellsworth and Glenn and Robert (Bob). There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St Mary Church 320 Middle Ave. Elyria February 16, 2018 at 10 A.M. Father Charles Diedrick will be the Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
