Ruth E. Conrad (née Seel), 83, of Elyria, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 30, 2025.Ruth was born in Oak Hill, Ohio on December 2, 1941. Her family moved from Jackson, Ohio to the Grafton area just before her senior year, where she attended Midview High School. Ruth was a devoted homemaker and stay-at-home mother who dedicated her life to her family. She found great purpose in her work with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, inspired by the service of many loved ones. Over the years, she held numerous positions at both the local and district levels and was a loyal and passionate supporter of veterans.

Ruth is survived by her son Dallis (Speed) Conrad Jr (Ann); daughter, Tina Conrad; son, Andrew (Andy) Conrad; granddaughter, Katherine (Katie) Moore (Ryan); grandsons, Dallis Conrad III (Kristen) and Jordan Conrad (Kathryn); great grandchildren, Tatum Moore, Dallis Conrad IV, and Madeline Conrad; brothers, Charles Seel Jr, Fred Seel and Raymond Seel, her significant other John Burnworth, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by Charles Seel Sr (father), Elizabeth Seel (mother), Dallis Conrad Sr (husband), Elizabeth (Libby) Gump (sister) and David Seel (Brother).

A "Celebration of Life" gather will be held on Sunday, November 16th from 1pm to 6pm at the Elyria VFW Post 1079, 500 S Abbe Rd. Family and friends are welcome to join.
