Ruth G. Hysell (nee Higgins),97, of Florida formerly of Elyria passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020 in Florida. She was born April 18, 1922 in Elyria and was a 1940 graduate of Elyria High School. Ruth was a member of VFW post # 1079 Ladies Auxiliary, Altar and Rosary Society @ St. Mary Church, and Dial O Club. She enjoyed sewing, reading, and baking. Survivors include her daughter Barbara A. (William) Blush of Treasure Island, FL.; sons Richard J. (Patricia) of Summerville, S.C., Daniel R. (Leslie) of Sheffield Village; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert D.; parents Ellis and Ethel Higgins (nee Esker); sisters Marion Curtis, Eleanor Hintz; brothers Donald and Clayton. Family will receive friends 10 Am until time of service at 11 AM Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
