Ruth R. Sayles, (nee-Hildebrandt), 94, of Grafton passed away Wednesday January 29, 2025 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange.

She was born April 19, 1930 in Elyria and was a Grafton resident for many years.

Ruth was employed in the cafeteria for Midview Schools for 27 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of Grafton United Methodist Church and enjoyed bird watching, flower gardening , crocheting and spending time with family.

Survivors include her daughter, Martha Mitan; 6 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Krischer; brother, Raymond Hildebrandt.

She was preceded in death by her husband William, daughter, Karen Dove, son, David Sayles, sister, Barbara Ruth Hildebrandt and brother, Richard Hildebrandt.

The family will receive friends Wednesday February 5, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services at 5:00 p-.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at Sate Rt. 57), Elyria. Private burial will be at Nesbett Cemetery, Grafton Township.
