Ruth A. Frantz, (nee-Soppanish), 76, of Elyria passed away Wednesday March 13, 2013, at her home following a long illness. She was born June 18, 1936 in Lorain, and has been a Elyria resident since 1986, coming from Lorain. Ruth worked as a sales administrator for Paramount Distillers in Cleveland for the past 12 years. She was a 1954 Lorain High School graduate and also graduated from the Lorain Business College with degrees in secretarial science and stenography. She looked forward to her monthly nights out with "the gals" who were school friends for more than 65 years. Survivors include her daughter, Tammy (Phil) Grabowski of Cleveland; son, Michael Urban of Cleveland; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Frantz, parents, Louis and Julia Soppanish, and a daughter-in law, Wendy Urban. The family will receive friends Monday March 18, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services at 7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
