Roy W. Hamker, 68, of LaGrange passed away Monday February 12, 2018 at UH Elyria Medical Center following complications of a stroke. He was born March 15, 1949 in Elyria and was a lifelong Lorain County resident. Roy worked as a carpenter for Andrew Allen Builders and most recently Don Jason Builders and was a United State Army veteran. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Patricia (nee-Tokarczyk); son, Scott Hamker; sisters, Marie Fitz, Pauline Pachinger and Marge Tappe; brothers, Paul, Ray and Harris Hamker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Catherine Hamker, sister, Mildred Finkel and brother, Clarence Hamker. The family will receive friends Friday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will 10:30 a.m. Saturday February 17, 2018 in the funeral home. The Rev. Fr. Gerald Keller will Officiate. Burial will be private.
