Rosemary Springer, (nee-Cluley), 96, of Elyria passed away Saturday January 28, 2017 at UH Elyria Medical Center following a brief illness. She was born February 13, 1920 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Rosemary was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Elyria, was an animal lover and avid sports fan and enjoyed playing cards, oil painting and cooking. Survivors include her nieces, Phyllis Berger and Kathy Criggar; nephews, Greg and Dennis Cluley and numerous great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and great-great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Springer, parents, Charles "Rags" and Florence Cluley, niece, Joella Marcum-Boos, nephews, Charles Cluley and Robert Berger and a great-great niece, Erin Nicole Cluley. There will be no visitation. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, State Rt. 113, South Amherst. The Rev. Paul Eaton will Officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League 8303 North Murray Ridge Rd. Elyria, OH. 44035. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Specialists 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd., Elyria.
