Roselyn Ann Evanich (nee-Wack), 75, of Elyria, Ohio passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, December 7, 2020. She was born on September 1, 1945 in Elyria, Ohio. Roselyn attended St. Mary School and graduated from Elyria Catholic High School in 1963. Roselyn was accepted into the United Airlines flight attendant program, but gave up a career as a stewardess to get married and start a family. Roselyn lived most of her life in Elyria, Ohio other than a few years when Roselyn and her husband moved to the San Fernando Valley in California, before returning to Elyria. Roselyn was a devout Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Mary Catholic Church in Elyria. She prayed a daily rosary and was a selfless and loving soul, who put her family before herself. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, and was devoted to her husband, William, and her daughter, Jeanette. She and her husband, William J. Evanich, were married for 55 and a half wonderful years. Roselyn enjoyed traveling throughout the world with both her husband and daughter. In later years, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, and accompanying him regularly on business trips. Roselyn was also quite an accomplished decorator, and knew how to make any space warm and inviting. Roselyn had a green thumb and enjoyed working outside in her yard and growing beautiful plants and flowers. Roselyn was a thoughtful listener and was always available for a good conversation, offering wisdom and support. Roselyn will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, William J. Evanich, and her loving daughter, Jeanette M. Robinson (Timothy). Roselyn is also survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Fisher (Steve), niece, Rachel Fisher, and nephew, Gregory Fisher. Roselyn was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Helen Wack and her aunt, Julia Kegyes. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Friday December 11, 2020 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Rt. 57), Elyria (440)322-4626 where the rosary will be recited at 3:45PM Friday, and closing prayers will be at 9:30 AM Saturday. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday December 12, 2020 at St. Mary Church 320 Middle Avenue Elyria, Ohio The Reverend Father Charles T. Diedrick, Pastor will be the Celebrant.
