Rose R. VanAmburgh (nee: Rogers) 92, of Elyria passed away Tuesday January 18, 2022 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain. She was born January 30, 1929 in Brownton, WV. Rose was a member of St. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Lorain. She treasured spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Rose enjoyed crafts and gardening. Survivors include a daughter; Vicky F. Heinz (Mark) of Columbus, a son; Mark Gainer of Elyria, step children; Diane Bellottie (Kenneth) of Glendale, AZ., Vicki Scarbrough of Scottsdale, AZ., Jacqueline Jessie (Mark), Robert VanAmburgh of Cleveland. Additional survivors include five grandchildren; Kristin, Nicole, Matthew, Jessica, Cole, step grandchildren; Stacy, Daryll, Anthony, Jessica, and several great grandchildren, a sister; Nettie Takacs (Joe) of Elyria, and a brother; Charles Rogers of Philippi, WV. Rose was preceded in death by her husbands; Columbus Gainer and Charles C. VanAmburgh, her parents; John and Atha (nee: Myers) Rogers, two sisters; Virginia Biller, Laura Blake, and a brother; William "Bill" Rogers. All funeral services were private. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Rose's memory be sent to Mercy New Life Hospice 3500 Kolbe Rd. Lorain, OH 44053.
