Rose Marie Oldfield (nee;Sorino) 86, of Elyria passed away at home on Thursday, August 25, 2022, following a long illness. She was born December 21, 1935, in Lorain. Rose was a Clearview High School graduate and retired from The Elyria City Schools.She attended The Church of God of Prophecy with her best friend Judy. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, and tending to her flowers. Rose is survived by her husband of sixty-two years; Larry W. Oldfield. She will be eternally missed by her two daughters; Michelle L. Oldfield of Elyria, Lisa M. Oldfield of Elyria, and son Brad A. Oldfield (Denise Morrison) of Elyria.Her three grandchildren; Brooke, Michael, Kaileigh, and six great-grandchildren; Alyssa, Michael, Jace, Adalyn, Leland, and Beau, all of Elyria, will miss her loving disposition, kind heart, and warm hugs. Rose is accompanied in death by her parents; Anthony and Marietta (nee: Calabrese) Sorino, her mother-in-law; Joy Oldfield, a sister; Jacqueline Pintur, and two brothers; Anthony Sorino Jr., and Robert Sorino Sr. Graveside services will be held at  11:00AM Friday, September 2, 2022, at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Twp.  Pastor Jeff Baker will officiate.  Funeral arrangements were entrusted to The Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home of Elyria (440)322-4626.
