Rose E. Mason-Eddington ( nee Keefer) passed away, Monday, September 18, 2017 at Wesleyan Village in Elyria. Rose was born September 13, 1926 to James and Florence (nee Hurd) Keefer in Elyria. Rose started working during WWII at General Industries making bomb fuses. She then went onto managing different dry cleaners in Lorain until completing LPN nursing school at MB Johnson in 1971. She retired from Elyria Memorial Hospital in 1991 after 20 years of service. She was a member of LaPorte United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading and word search puzzles. Rose was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians. Survivors include her Grand-Daughter, whom she raised, Rose Lyne Snyder (James Lunn) and Daughter-in-Law Janis Mason. Daughter, Pamela, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brothers Richard and Alan Keefer. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Robert (Bobby) Mason (2010) and grand-daughters Michelle and Stephanie Horvath (1987). The family would like to express their appreciation to everyone at Elyria Retirement Center (ERC), where Rose made her home for 12 years prior to her illness. A special Thank You to everyone at Mercy New Life Hospice of Lorain for all their help, care and compassion for her and her family over the past 9 months. All services and visitation are private.
