Rose Marie Boris of Lorain, Ohio passed away on December 17, 2021 at the age of 91. Born in, and resident of Lorain, Ohio until 2019, Rose Marie graduated in 1949 from Lorain High School. She married her loving husband, Raymond Boris in 1951. She and her husband moved into The Abbewood in Elyria, Ohio in 2019. A parishioner of St. Vincent de paul Catholic Church, Rose Marie and Raymond were founding members of the church. Rose Marie was an active member of the Altar & Rosary Society. She also worked at Friday fish fries at St. Lad's Club and was a member of the Ladies Auxillary at Knight's of St. John. Rose Marie loved animals and wildlife, and especially loved feeding the birds, deer, turkeys and squirrels near their home. She enjoyed playing cards and games with friends and family. She and her husband enjoyed road trips to natural and historic locations, and to visit family in other states. Rose Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Nellie (Dudek) Zajkowski, father, Joseph Kocorek, and brother Carl Kocorek. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Raymond, five children Randy, Kathleen, Gene, Ron and Melinda, 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held 11 AM Monday, December 27, 2021 at St. Vincent de paul Catholic Church, 41295 N. Ridge Rd. Elyria, OH 44035. Rev. Fr. Neil Walters will be the Celebrant.
