Ronald E. Striker, 90, of Elyria passed away Saturday September 9, 2023 at O'Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville following a brief illness. He was born May 27, 1933 in Sheffield Village and was a lifelong Elyria resident. A United States Navy veteran, Ron worked at United Airlines as a supervisor and also formerly worked at Lorain Community Hospital. He enjoyed model airplanes and trains and spending time with his family. Survivors include his daughter, Denise Striker (Jeff Rader); son, Bryon (Kim) Striker; grandchildren, Bryon Striker II, Amanda Striker, Rachel Mason and Evan Mertz, and great-grandchildren, Ava and Aubrey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra. The family will receive friends on Wednesday September 13, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
