Ronald E. Oaklief, 81, of Medina passed away Sunday October 15, 2017 at Medina General Hospital following a brief illness of cancer. He was born January 9, 1936 in Sandusky and was a graduate of Olmsted Falls High School. Ron worked as a sales representative for Northern Haserot, was a United States Army veteran, a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Berea and was an official for OHSAA high school basketball for 39 years. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Geri; daughters, Lisa (David) Russo, Tracy (David) Gigliotti and Beth (Jeff) Skipper; son, Todd Oaklief; grandchildren, Mario, Cody, Brandon (Jaclyn), Dillon, Austin and Logan; sister, Sandra Scheelk; brothers, Chuck and Gary Oaklief. Preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Oaklief. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will at 12:00 noon on Saturday October 21, 2017 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church 276 East Bagley Rd., Berea. Pastor Tom Henderson will Officiate. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
