Roman A. Supel, 55, of Elyria passed away Monday October 20, 2014 at his home after suffering a apparent heart attack. He was born January 26, 1959 in Orzechowka, Poland and was a Elyria resident for the past 25 years. Roman worked as a coil winder at the Trimco Transformer Company in Parma. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church in Elyria, was a former member of the Elyria United Polish Club, was a avid outdoorsman and enjoyed gardening and woodworking. Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Casimiera "Casie" (nee-Blaz); sons, John, Robert and Adam Supel all of Elyria; mother, Helena Supel of Poland; sisters, Grazyna Magusiak and Krystyna Morajko both of Poland. He was preceded in death by his father, Franciszek Supel in 1982 and a brother, Janek Supel in 1973. The family will receive friends on Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Closing prayers will be on Friday October 24, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent DePaul Church 41295 North Ridge Rd., Elyria.
