Roger D. Hartsel 86, of Elyria passed away Wednesday January 18, 2017 at Wesleyan Village in Elyria. He was born December 30, 1930 in Elyria. Roger worked for North American Van Lines. He enjoyed carpentry,woodworking , gardening and spending time with family. Survivors include his daughter Nancy (Vaughn) Sapp of LaGrange; sons Philip and Douglas (Susan) both of Elyria; granddaughter Amy (Clint) Goodwin; great-granddaughter Emily Goodwin; sisters Gloria Cook, Patricia (Arden) Fitch, Pam (Ron) Koppler, Paula (Clair) Watts, Portia Hamilton, Peggy (Howard) Keller, and Phyllis (John) Lariscy; brother Dean; sister-in-laws Doris Ann and Norma. He was preceded in death by his wife Ila (nee Carpenter) in 2004; parents Marion Sr. and Lois (nee Koppler); brothers Donald and Marion Jr. Family will receive friends 1-4 PM Sunday January 22, 2017 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
