Robert "Bob" Watson 82, of Grafton passed away at home on Sunday December 24, 2017 following a long illness. He was born March 22, 1935 on Jacksboro, TN. Bob was a member of East Broad Street Church of Christ, and was a Journeyman Pipefitter and did HVAC work at General Motors. Bob was also a talented craftsman; he built wood furniture, a barn, and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife of sixty three years; Ruth Ann Watson (nee: Adams), a daughter; Carla Harbert of Sheffield Village, a son; Robert L. Watson (Sheila) of Brunswick, additional survivors include five grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, and a brother; Roger Watson (Joan) of Louisville, KY Bob was preceded in death by his parents; Luther and Kansy (nee: Tackett) Watson, two sisters; Lillian Berry and Rita Faye, and a brother; Haskel Watson. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday December 28, 2017, and 10-11 AM Friday December 29, 2017 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria where funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday December 29, 2017. Pastor Harold Reddick of East Broad Street Church of Christ will officiate.
