Robert W. Shisler, 84, of Warsaw, IN. passed away Tuesday December 13, 2011 at his daughter's home in Elyria following a sudden illness. He was born June 19, 1927 in Crown Point, IN. and lived in Woodstock, IL. For many years and had been a resident of Warsaw for the past 19 years. Bob worked at Dean Foods in Huntley, IL. For many years, retiring as a foreman in 1985. Prior to working at Dean Foods he worked at Borden Foods in Woodstock, IL. For many years. He served with the United States Marine Corps. During W.W. II and enjoyed tinkering in his garage and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife Louise (nee-Bauer); daughters, Kathryn (Doug) Harrod of Genoa City. WI. And Donna (Jim) Backs of Elyria; son, Wayne (Joanne) Shisler of Naperville, IL.; grandchildren, Zach, Megan (husband, Tom), Mikaela, Jared, Monica, Dan and Carly; brothers, Wilen Shisler of Texas and Bruce Shisler of Woodstock, IL.. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Kooiker. All services will be private.
