Robert J. "Rob" Chesmar, Jr., of Elyria Township, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 27, 2022 at his residence. Rob was born on June 7, 1964 to Robert and Iva Chesmar Sr. (nee Cathey). He was a 1982 graduate of Elyria High School. Rob was a tow motor operator for York International for many years. Rob enjoyed racing, Pittsburgh Steelers, professional wrestling, and Led Zeppelin. His dynamic personality will be missed by all who knew him.  Survivors include his daughter, Bridget; mother, Iva "Sandy" Coffin; sister, Vickie (Daniel) Ramos; brother, Ryan (Debbie) Chesmar; nephews Brandon Chesmar and Matthew Vargo. He is preceded in death by his father; Robert Chesmar, Sr. and daughter Kaitlin. Family will receive friends from 11 AM until time of service at 2 PM Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
