Robert ( Bob ) Renninger, 64, of Avon ,Oh, passed away Sunday December 1, 2013 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Oh following a lengthy illness. He was born in Elyria, Oh and a resident of Avon , Oh for 22 yrs .He was a 1967 graduate of Keystone High School in La Grange,Oh. Bob was a veteran of the United States Army, a professional baseball player for the Cincinnati Reds and the Houston Astros , he also was retired as an agent for the Allstate Insurance Company. Following retirement Bob worked at the Grey Hawk Golf Club and was the pitching coach for the Keystone High School baseball team for 7 yrs.He loved baseball, basketball, and golf. His hobbies included flying model airplanes, bowling, and was in a dart league. He was inducted into the LaGrange Keystone K.A.T.S. hall of fame class of 1998, 2006 and 2008.Survivors include daughter Tina Walters of Farmington, N. Mexico. Grandson Trae Walters of Farmington, N. Mexico. Mother Thelma ( Bob ) Brehm of Elyria,Oh , brothers Billy Jr. (Donna) of Richmond ,Va., Dan (Karen) Nowak of Cleveland, Don (Fran) Nowak of Elyria,Oh and sister Roxann Sebastian of Avon ,Oh. He also has 6 nieces, 3 nephews, 1 great-niece and 4 great-nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his father Billy Sr. and step-father Chester Nowak.
