Obituary

Robert W. Rader 91, of Carlisle Twp. passed away Friday October 11, 2013 at The Center Ridge Health Campus in North Ridgeville. He was born May 15, 1922 in Elyria and was a 1941 Elyria High School graduate. Robert served as an airplane mechanic instructor during World War II with The Army Air Force. He was a job setter with Standadyne Inc. which later became Moen, and retired following forty two years of service. Robert was a member of Cross Community Church and was a part time mechanic. Survivors include his wife of seventy one years; June E. (nee: Roig), three daughters; Diana L. Burgess (Bob) of Grafton, Peggy S. Kuhn (Samuel) of Jewett, OH, Laura J. Eliason (David) of Grafton, a son; Robert R. Rader (Nancy) of Elyria. Additional survivors include a sister; Dorothy Price of Grafton, a brother; Walter (Marie) of Grafton, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; Isaac W. and Louvina (nee: Miller) Rader, three sisters; Alice, Florence, Eva, and four brothers; Virgil, Russell, Clyde and Don. Family will receive friends from 1- 2 PM Tuesday October 15, 2013 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57) Elyria (440)322-4626 where funeral services will be at 2:00 PM immediately following visitation. Rev. Charles Jarvis will officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon where V.F.W. Post #1079 will provide full military honors. Memorial contributions in Robert's memory can be sent to Antioch International P.O.
