Robert W. Powell 51, of Grafton "Went Home" Tuesday January 31, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 11, 1960 in Elyria. Bob was a pipe fitter with Plumbers and Steam Fitters Local #42 of Norwalk. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elyria. Bob was the founding member and a gifted drummer for "Heart and Soul Band", and had played with various other local bands. He was also a talented handyman. Bob cherished spending time with his family and his best friend "Spanky". Survivors include his wife of nineteen years; Deanna L. (nee: Bursley), two daughters; Jessica M. and Teresa A. both of Grafton, additional survivors include his father; William Powell (Kathy Hammond) of Elyria, a brother; William (Chris) of Shiloh, IL, two sisters; Barbara Cox of LaGrange, Bonnie Smith of Phoenix, AZ. Bob is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his mother; Betty Powell (nee: Greener).
