Robert "Bob" Pelton, 82, of LaGrange passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born November 18, 1937 in Elyria. Robert was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. He was Professor Emeritus at Cleveland State University, which he was very proud of. Survivors include his wife Betsy (nee Rodriguez); daughters Ingrid Rivera of Orlando, FL., Michelle Amengual of LaGrange; sons Jose-Miguel Amengual of London, England, Greg Amengual of Parma; grandchildren Armando Rivera, Veronica DePryor, Gregory Amengual, Alexis Meehan; great grandchildren Vivienne and Ava Rivera; Sisters Rita McNahon, Kathy (Roy) Hopper; brother Edward Pelton. He was preceded in death by his parents David E. and Mary M. Pelton (nee Bunce). Family will receive friends 1-4 PM Sunday, February 9, 2020 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at St. Rt. 57), Elyria 440-322-4626, where services will be held 11 AM Monday, February 10, 2020. Burial River Rd. (LaGrange Twp.).
