Robert John Matovich 83, of Elyria passed away at home Tuesday December 6, 2011 following a long illness. He was born December 1, 1928 in Elyria where he was a lifelong resident. Robert was a 1947 Elyria High School graduate; he was self employed and had worked in real estate sales and appraisals for forty years. He was a member of Beaver Park Sail Club; and enjoyed a lifetime of boating, antique cars, family gatherings with his grandsons, and doing home projects. Survivors include his wife of sixty one; Clarissa C. (nee: Brush) whom he married August 19, 1950, a daughter; Sharon L. Ferroni of Avon, OH, a son; Thomas R. of Elyria, OH, three grandsons; Chase and Scott Matovich, and Chris Ferroni, a brother; Dennis W. Matovich of Elyria, OH. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; John R. and Wilma M. (nee: Varga) Matovich, and a brother; Richard Matovich.
