Robert J. "Bob" Lisicky, 90, of Elyria passed away Tuesday May 30, 2017 at The Woods on French Creek in Avon following a long illness. He was born June 14, 1926 in Lorain and was an Elyria resident for most of his life. Bob worked at the Bendix-Westinghouse Company for 40 years, retiring in 1992 as a Product Line Manager. He served in the United States Army during W.W. II, was a very active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Elyria and while attending Xavier University in Cincinnati was offered a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians baseball team. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Marilyn (nee-Stefek); daughter, Suzanne (Rick) Camp; sons, Robert T. Lisicky, Tim (Laurie) Lisicky, Bruce Lisicky and Mark (Cheryl) Lisicky; step-daughters, Theresa (John) Gambrell, Mary (Rick) Miller, Celine (Scott) Webber, Elizabeth (Brian) Simpkins, Monica (Jim) Glover and Christine Kozel; step-sons, Michael (Darlene) Kozel, Steve (Jessica) Kozel and Matthew (Maggie) Kozel; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sister, Rosemary (Dr. Richard) Kinkelaar; brother, John (Charlotte-deceased) Lisicky. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane (nee-Gardner) in 1989. The family will receive friends 3:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 3, 2017 at St. Agnes Church 611 Lake Ave., Elyria. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). The Rev. Fr. Albert Veigas, pastor, will be the Celebrant. Burial will be at Ridgehill Memorial Park, Amherst Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Agnes Church.
