Robert W. King 85, of Elyria passed away on Saturday July 11, 2015 at Northridge Health Campus in North Ridgeville following a brief illness. He was born July 9, 1930 in Kokomo, IN, where he was a 1948 Kokomo High School graduate. Robert served in the U.S. Navy from 1948 to 1954 during The Korean War. He retired as the Laboratory Direct at Elyria Memorial Hospital in 1992. Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing with family and friends. Survivors include two sons; Jeff King(Deanne) of Elyria, Todd King of Oberlin, a daughter; Debra King-Boyd (Jim) of Medina, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; Bernadine M. (nee: Frank) whom he married in 1953, a son; Stephen, his parents; Albert and Charlotte (nee: Hunt) King, a sister; Peggy Jo King and a brother; Thomas King. Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Burial will be private. Memorial contributions in Robert's memory can be sent to the charity of the donor's choice.
