Robert John "Jack" Klocek, 82, of LaGrange passed away Monday May 28, 2012 at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange following a brief illness. He was born January 7, 1931 in Elyria and was a LaGrange resident for most of his life. Jack worked as a chrome plater at Cascade Plating in Elyria for 32 years, retiring in 1986. He was a 1950 Elyria High School graduate, served in the United States Navy, was a life member of the Elyria United Polish Club and was a avid Cleveland sports fan. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Alice (nee-Scott); daughters, Janet (Gary) Keffer and Linda (Joseph) Fincham both of LaGrange; son, George (Mary) Klocek of LaGrange; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; sisters, Eleanore Milewski of Pittsburgh, PA. and Cecelia Schuster of Elyria. He was preceded by a son, James in 1982, sisters, Pauline Saley and Lucille Pinter and brothers, Mike, John and Joseph Klocek. The family will receive friends Thursday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. John P. Seabold will Officiate. Burial will be private.
