Robert "Bob" J. Conn 82, of Elyria passed away Monday August 12, 2013 at St. John Westshore Hospital in Westlake following a brief illness. He was born January 19, 1931 in Donora, PA. and was a 1948 Donora High School graduate. Bob served with the U.S. Air Force. He retired as a supervisor for American Airlines in October of 1987 after thirty years of service. He had worked at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, O'Hare Airport in Chicago, IL., and as a security guard for the Cleveland Browns. Bob and his wife moved to Elyria in 1963, after residing in Detroit, MI, and Arlington, VA. He especially enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, fishing and travel. Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of sixty two years; Eileen (nee: Lisko) whom he married July 7, 1951; two sons; Douglas (Cindy) of Avon, OH., Craig (Kathy) of Elyria, OH, and a daughter; Leslie Conn-Kaminski (David) of Keller, TX. Additional survivors include four grandchildren; Tyler, Erin, Whitney and Kolbie, four sisters; MaryAnn Garvin of Scottsdale, AZ, Vickie Powers of Ocean Isle, NC, Lois Daniels of Sparta, NJ, Donna Leapley of Alexandria, VA and two brothers; David Conn of Shepherdsville, WV, and Anthony Conn of Ellsworth, PA. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; Anthony and Bertha (nee: Kurmolwich) Conn, and a sister; Roslyn Sampler.
