Robert A. "Bobby" Vietzen, 60, of Elyria passed away Thursday October 22, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a brief illness. He was born October 25, 1954 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Bobby was a member of Christ Church in Elyria, a Elyria High School graduate, an avid NASCAR racing fan and enjoyed riding and repairing motorcycles. He will be sadly missed by his cat, Tigger and his riding buddies. Survivors include his sister, Judith Landin of Wellington; special caregiver and niece, Diania Landin and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Doris Vietzen, sisters, Karen Smith and Diane Marozsan, and a brother, Richard Vietzen. The family will receive friends Tuesday 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Christ Church 1420 South Abbe Rd., Elyria. Funeral Services will be Wednesday October 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the church. The Rev. Chet Beetler, pastor, will Officiate. Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Friendship Animal Protective League 8303 North Murray Ridge Rd. Elyria.
