Robert A. "Bob" Grega, 87 , of Elyria, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the Main Street Care Center, in Avon Lake, following a brief illness. He was born July 7, 1930 in Lakewood and was a graduate of North Ridgeville High School. Bob worked for Ridgetool for 44 years until his retirement. He proudly served his Country in the Marine Corp. during Korea. Bob was a member of Grafton V.F.W. post #3341, Elyria American Legion and the Elyria Polish Club. He enjoyed watching sports. bowling and was inducted in the bowling hall of fame for his service, but especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include his 2 daughters Karen (Dick) Boron of Grafton and Gail (Scott) Engle of Amherst; grandchildren Gary, Brett (Erin), Ashley, Bruce, and Kenny; great-grandchildren Aubrey and Addison; brothers Raymond (Dorothy) of North Ridgeville and Andrew "Butch" (Audrey) of Henderson, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane (nee Smith) in 2012; parents Andrew and Mary Grega (nee Vitaz) .Family will receive friends 4-7 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
