Ricky Lee Glaze, 68, of Elyria passed away Wednesday August 26, 2015 at UH Elyria Medical Center following a sudden illness. He was born May 26, 1947 in Portsmouth and was a Elyria area resident for most of his life. Ricky was employed at the Springco Metal Coatings Company in Cleveland as the manager of the plating department. He was a 1965 Midview High School graduate, served in the United States Army during the Viet Nam war and enjoyed repairing classic cars and motorcycles. Survivors include his son, Matt (Jen) Glaze of Elyria; grandchildren, Reese and Connor Fesili; sister, Connie Pack of Elyria ; brother, Ronnie Glaze of Raleigh, NC.. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marci Glaze in 2015, grandson, Leigh, parents Lawrence Sr. and Virginia Glaze and a brother Lawrence "Larry" Glaze Jr.. The family will receive friends 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday August 31, 2015 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria.
