Rickie J. Russo, Jr.

Rickie J. Russo, Jr., 47, of Cleveland, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 11, 2026. He was born in Garfield Heights, Ohio on April 22, 1979 to parents Rickie J. Russo Sr. and Ronda (nee: Buckley). Rickie was a skilled carpenter who took great pride in his work and enjoyed using his talents to create and repair things. Outside of work, Rickie had a passion for race cars and loved spending time working on and rebuilding cars. He and his dad rebuilt a 67’ Chevelle SS together as a father/son project. He also enjoyed taking on various house projects alongside his dad, creating memories while sharing his love of working with his hands

One of Rickie’s greatest joys was spending time with his nephew, Anthony. He especially enjoyed teaching Anthony how to properly fix and maintain his car, passing along not only his knowledge and skills, but also his patience and love for working on automobiles.

Rickie will be deeply missed by his family and friends, as well as his loyal best friend and constant companion, his Cane Corso; Mr. Smalls, who held a special place in his heart.

Rickie will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his mechanical talents, his love of cars and projects, and most of all, the time he shared with the people and animals he loved.

Survivors include his parents; sister, Samantha (Lee) Willard; niece, Audrey; nephew, Anthony and Lannon; aunt, Tessa (Kevin) Walker; uncle, Matt (Christine) Buckley, and numerous cousins. All services for Rickie will be private.
