Rick L. Hales "Slicky", 62, of Elyria passed away unexpectedly Monday, January 6, 2020 at his residence. He was born March 10, 1957 in Amherst. Rick worked as a machinist for Exact cutting services. He enjoyed all sports, especially NASCAR. Survivors include his sisters Denise (Roger) Pendergrass of Elyria, Pam Mase of Seattle, WA.; brother Skeet (Laurie) Hales of Elyria; many nieces and nephews, especially Danielle Barbee and her family who he was very close to. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Joan Hales (nee Sayers); sisters Connie Dawson, Janice Renick.Family will receive friends 5-7 PM Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd.
