IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rick Alan
Camp
May 15, 1951 – October 26, 2024
Rick Camp, 73, of Elyria, passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at St. Mary of the Woods in Avon, leaving behind a legacy as vibrant as his sense of humor. Born on May 15, 1951, in Elyria, Rick was a lifelong resident who graduated from Elyria High School in 1969.
In his early years, Rick showcased his versatility by working for the Chronicle-Telegram and as a laborer for local homebuilders. From 1985 until 2016, he served as a Route Delivery Driver for Pepsi Cola, bringing not just Pepsi but also laughter to those around him. Most recently, he enjoyed his role as Courier with Oberlin City Schools from 2018 until 2024.
A true sports enthusiast, Rick was an avid fantasy baseball player and an ardent fan of the Baltimore Orioles and enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians and the Cleveland Browns. He found joy in reading, music, and sharing witty anecdotes that never failed to evoke laughter. With a sharp memory, he often recalled stories and events from around Elyria.
Rick is survived by his beloved wife, Suzanne (nee-Lisicky), whom he married in December 1982; his cherished grandson, Daxton Bier; brother, Kevin Camp; brothers-in-law, Bob (Tricia) Lisicky, Tim (Laurie) Lisicky, Bruce (Jacquie) Lisicky, and Mark (Cheryl) Lisicky; and a host of nieces and nephews who adored him. He was preceded in death by his beautiful daughter, Erin Camp; his parents, Norm and Delores Camp; and his brother, Dennis Camp.
In honor of Rick's life, a celebration will be held at a later date, where we will share stories, laughter, and fond memories of a man who brought joy to so many. All services and burial will be private.
