Richard H. Worcester, 87, of Elyria passed away Tuesday October 13, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain following a brief illness. He was born July 23, 1928 in Elyria and was a lifelong Elyria resident. Richard worked as a welder at the former Tappan Corporation in Elyria for 34 years. He also formerly worked Security at EMH Regional Medical Center and enjoyed gardening and fishing. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Betty (nee-Brooks); daughter, Maureen (Warren) Dargo of Elyria; grandchildren, Richard (Carey) Dargo and Colleen Dargo; great-grandchild, Caden Dargo. The family will receive friends Thursday (today) 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be Friday October 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. The Rev. Chuck Behrens will Officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
