Richard Strickler, 87, of Elyria passed away June 6, 2021 at his home. He was born April 2, 1934 in Wellington, and was a graduate of Elyria High School. He was a carpenter through the Union Hall for 40 years. Richard proudly served his Country in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Elyria, and he enjoyed watching all sports. Survivors include his wife of 67 years Barbara (nee Chesmar); sons, James and Rick; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Janet; brothers, David (Mary), William, and Steven. There will be no visitation or services. Burial private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests those who wish may make donations to St. John Lutheran Church 1140 W. River Rd. N. Elyria, Oh. 44035.
