Richard M. Scott, 72, of Elyria, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was born in Elyria on March 13, 1952 to parents Frank and Jessie (nee: Rogers). Richard was a 1970 graduate of Keystone High School. Richard married his wife, Ann (nee: Frabotta) on May 6, 1977. He worked for USG Corporation for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, and scratching off lottery tickets. Survivors include his wife; sons, Brian (Kristin), Ricky (Karen), and David (Ashley); brother, Thomas; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice Klocek; brothers, Frank and Gene. Visitation will be held from 4 PM – 7 PM on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Laubenthal Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Road (at State Route 57) in Elyria. Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at River Road Cemetery in LaGrange Township.
