Richard A. Rider, 62, of Wellington passed away Saturday February 27, 2021 at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake following a brief illness. He was born November 1, 1958 in Clarksburg, WV. And was a resident of Wellington for many years. He was a truck driver for Estes Express in North Ridgeville, for 20 years, a member of Harvest Ridge Assembly of God, where he was a volunteer and he enjoyed going to car shows and working on hot rods. He also loved telling others about his Jesus. Survivors include his wife of 11 years, Gina (Pyles-Yeager); son, James Rider; step-daughters, Anjella (Samuel) Kobasic and Ronda Yeager (Emily Boyer); grandchildren, Gabriel, Gracelyn and Hayley; sister, Judy (John) Anthony; brothers, Jeff (Pat) Rider and Rob (Tracie) Rider; 4 nieces and 3 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lora Rider. The family will receive friends 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Services 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday March 5, 2021 in the funeral home. Pastor Kevin Crow will Officiate. Social distancing and facial coverings are required.
